The Block Out Bullying Duck Sense Bully Prevention Curriculum is packed with seven lessons that help explain the differences between conflict and bullying, what bullying is, what a target of a bully can do, and how the school can prevent and eliminate bullying issues. Within each lesson are historical examples, sentence structure lessons, social studies, communication, math, and writing skills reinforcement. Each activity is facilitator friendly and provides handouts. Also included are some simple homework assignments to help promote parent involvement. These activities help parents recognize their role in promoting an environment that is free of fear, violence, and bully intimidation inside and outside of school.

Tom Wiegand of Paint a Block
All lessons are introduced on video by the author and award winning speaker Richard Paul.

Art is an effective form of communication that can be used to convey a message and raise awareness about a topic. A Paint-A-Block Tower project is included to highlight Block Out Bullying lessons. The finished Paint-A-Block project will create awareness and dialogue, evoking an interest in bully prevention, and inspire the viewers to reach out in some way, to help others and make a change. Appropriate for the age of the artist, instructions include key vocabulary words, choice of colors and symbols to support and reinforce bully prevention.
Awareness project lesson is introduced on video by creator and manufacturer of the Paint-A-Block product Tom Wiegand.
